Monon Mail Operating Boxcar **O Scale – Lionel

This is a Lionel 9218 Monon Operating Boxcar from 1981. This car is a remake of the postwar Lionel 3494-550 of 1957. To operate this car, you park it over a standard uncoupler which draws down the operating plunger to open the door and the man throws out the mailbag! This boxcar features sliding doors, die-cast metal sprung trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.
