Yes, we do buy out of state estates sales small and large. We can arrange to have the items shipped directly to our store or arrange for one of our team members to arrange pickup of the estate.

There are many factors that go into the pricing of an item:

1. 1. Age and condition.
   2. Scale
   3. Availability
   4. Current Online Market Pricing
   5. Location (Shipping Cost to our store)
   6. Our Profit Margins

All of these and more help set the price point whether it is a cash buyout or consignment pricing.

The answer is simple yet complicated.

Consignment sales will always result in more money in your pocket with as high as 80% of those profits being returned directly to you. However, those sales can take time and money is only received once an item or items have been sold.

Cash buyouts will put money in you hands the same day an offer is made and accepted. However, as we are tying up valuable capital for future gains the return on your investment is smaller. With cash sales we tend to price items lower in order to quickly turn them around in our store or online. On average cash buyouts range from 25 to 40 cents on the dollar based on fair market valuation of an item.

Typically our consignment contracts range from 3 to 6 months. At the end of the contract you have the option to renew to a new contract, pickup the remaining items or we can offer you a cash buyout based on the remaining inventory items.

No! We can arrange for someone to come out and give you a rough evaluation. A more detailed evaluation and additional visits may be required for larger estates. We do not make house calls outside of a 50 mile radius unless the estate has well over 500 plus items. With out of state estates sales we normally start with an excel spread sheet detailing each item as well as pictures sent in from the seller. We will determine if an on premise evaluation will be required.

Any item(s) that comes in to our store or sent to us via an email list will normally get EVALUATED with in 48 hours. Small estates brought into the store will get evaluated normally the same day. Very large estates or estates outside of Nevada can take up a week. All in house items are graded based on what we see, have been tested and RESEARCHED ONLINE.

We buy trains from Z Scale to G Scale…okay just about any kind of train related items. We also, buy slot cars from 1/64th, 1/24th and 1/32nd scale. As we do many other things hobby related we also buy model kits, Warhammer and even RC cars and planes. If it is hobby related we might be interested so give us a call.

On smaller estates we normally will pay cash, but can pay cash for larger estates if asked up front. Normally on larger estates over $4,000 we typically like to pay via business checks.  That can all be discussed up front so we are all on the same playing field and get these items sold fast.

Due to the high volume of visitors our store has on a weekly bases we typically start off selling the items just in store. For big ticket items or newer items we will add them to our growing inventory online. Our online store has a large following across the country including in many countries. We also keep a running list of “wanted” items from our visitors and if your item falls into one of those categories we will reach out to them and see if they are interested in purchasing regardless of their location.
