DESCRIPTION:
First manufactured during the Great Depression, the EMC Gas Electric kept railroads in the passenger business through World War II. With a combine section and large passenger compartment in the locomotive itself, the Doodlebug provided extremely economical commuter and mainline service into the 1960s. Its efficiency made it popular throughout the United States and around the world.
