Thank you for your interest in placing an order with Westside Trains, Inc.! Here is a brief overview of how our shipping policies work:
STANDARD SHIPPING CHARGES
This is for the 48 Continental United States only
- Up to $75.00 ordered — $9.00 shipping charge
- From $75.01 to $150.00 ordered — $14.00 shipping charge
- From $150.01 to $300.00 ordered — $20.00 shipping charge
- From $300.01 to $500.00 ordered — $27.00 shipping charge
- Over $500.00 ordered – $32.00 shipping charge
**Many large items and train sets have additional shipping charges. These items are clearly marked on the order pages. If we find when packing large orders the shipping cost comes in under what paid for a refund will be issued and you will be notified by email.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY PACKAGE?
All packages will be shipped via UPS Ground Service, USPS Priority Mail, or FedEx depending on the weight of the package. We ship Monday through Friday, so all order placed between Friday afternoon and Sunday night will be shipped on Monday or Tuesday pending holidays. During the week, orders are usually shipped within 48 hours. If your order is shipped via UPS and you have provided us with a correct email address, you will receive a tracking number from UPS the day your order is shipped. If your package was shipped via USPS, you will receive a delivery confirmation number, stating when your order was shipped and delivered. You should expect your package anywhere from 3 – 10 business days after placing your order. REMEMBER: the further away you live from Nevada, the longer your package will take to arrive!
EXPEDITED SHIPPING
We are happy to ship your order via UPS Rush Delivery Services. You can choose from Overnight, 2-Day and 3-Day guaranteed UPS services for an added charge which is based on the size and weight of your order. To request a quote, please call us at 702-254-9475 IMMEDIATELY afterwards if ordering online. Our shipping department is open Wednesday-Saturday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. pacific time. We pride ourselves on shipping your order very quickly, so please do not wait to call if you need your package expedited. We cannot be held responsible for shipping a package “too quickly”!
FLAT RATE SHIPPING
A larger item may already be packed in its own master carton. For these items, the cost of the extra shipping stated in the description of the item and the extra charge is added to your cart at checkout. These items are exempt from our standard shipping policy. The value of the rest of your cart is calculated and subject to the standard shipping policy, as they are shipped in a separate box.
HANDLING CHARGE
Some of our larger or more expensive items require an additional shipping fee. For these items, the cost of the extra shipping stated in the description of the item and the extra charge is added to your cart at checkout. These items are counted towards your cart total and the additional shipping is added.
HAWAII, ALASKA, U.S. TERRITORIES, APO AND FPO
If you place an order to be delivered to Hawaii, Alaska, an APO or FPO address, or US Territory, you will be required to pay exact shipping costs for all orders, regardless of the total cost of the order (our standard shipping costs are the minimum costs that you will pay for an order). These additional shipping amounts will not be reflected in your confirmation email. These orders will be shipped via US Priority Mail or Express Mail, with the option to insure the package…the cost is based on size and weight of the package. Actual postage costs on these orders will be calculated, and we will email you the cost for your approval. No shipments to these addresses will be made without your approval, unless the Priority mail charge is covered by our standard shipping cost. Therefore, it is very important that you include your email address and your phone number so that we can contact you with shipping costs. Please continue to check your email if you place this type of order.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
If you place an order to be delivered to another country, you will be required to pay exact shipping costs for all orders, regardless of the total cost of the order (our standard shipping costs are the minimum costs that you will pay for an order). These orders will be shipped through the US Postal Service via insured EXPRESS MAIL ONLY…the cost will be based on size and weight of the package. Actual postage costs on these orders is calculated, and we will email you the cost for your approval. No shipments to these addresses will be made without your approval. Therefore, it is very important that you include your email address and your phone number so that we can contact you with shipping costs. Please continue to check your email if you place this type of order. Please note: Upon receipt of your package, you may be required to pay additional customs fees. This is something which we have no control over, nor do we know what these fees may cost.
